Dairy Farm Worker

Wells Farm located just outside of Norwood ON, is looking to hire both PART TIME & FULL TIME DAIRY FARM WORKERS for their location

Job Duties:

A family-owned and operated dairy farm just outside of Norwood is looking for a reliable and dependable individual to join our team. Experience with dairy cattle or farm work is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right person who is motivated to learn, pays attention to detail, and takes pride in their work.

This is a hands-on role involving daily animal care and general farm tasks in a modern dairy operation.

Responsibilities

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Milking cows in a modern double 8 parlour
• Feeding and caring for calves and livestock
• Monitoring animal health and well-being
• Cleaning stalls and maintaining barn hygiene
• General farm clean-up and maintenance
• Assisting with maintenance of farm machinery and equipment
• Tractor work and equipment operation (if experienced)
• Other general farm duties as required (indoors and outdoors)

Work Conditions

• Physically demanding work
• On your feet for most of the shift
• Some repetitive tasks
• Work in a barn and outdoor environment in all seasons
• Early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required

Qualifications:

• Reliable and punctual
• Able to perform physical labour and lift up to approximately 25 kg (55 lbs)
• Comfortable working with animals
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions
• Must have own reliable transportation
• Previous farm or mechanical experience is an asset but not required
