Located in the heart of Prince Edward County, Ralph’s Meat Market is a well-loved local shop known for its high-quality meats, friendly service, and strong connection to the community. We are currently seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering outstanding service. This is also a great opportunity for students, as we are willing to train the right candidate—no prior experience required.

Responsibilities:

• Available to work weekdays/ weekends as scheduled (extended hours on occasion)
• Maintains a high standard of personal hygiene & appearance
• Adheres to company dress code (uniform, hat) non-slip footwear
• Maintains a clean and safe work-space environment
• Endure medium to high levels of physical exertion (standing, bending, lifting, etc.)
• Equipment operation (weigh scales, meat slicers, cash register, Fryer and Sota oven)
• Strong oral & written communication skills with customers (in-person & telephone)
• Observes company code of conduct, policies and store rules
• Preform other duties and assignments as directed
• Greeting customers in a cordial and friendly fashion
• Answering product related questions, taking orders, selecting, weighing, pricing and wrapping
• Serving customers with timely coordination and processing of orders
• Raw meat preparation, packing, storage and inventory replenishment
• Counter presentation & product merchandising
• Maintaining an organized, clean and safe working environment
• Adhering to and maintaining high level of service excellence
• Adhere to all provincial health and civil code regulations
• Assist with meat deliveries (unloading, storage)

Qualifications and Experience:

Communication Skills: As the first point of contact for our valued customers, the ability to engage in a friendly, effective manner is essential. Strong listening skills and patience are key to providing excellent service.

Basic Mathematics: Ability to estimate prices and accurately weigh products for customers.

Stamina: Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting medium to heavy items as required.

Job Commitment: Reliable, punctual, and able to work scheduled shifts.

Role Engagement: Brings a positive attitude and high energy to the workplace.

Responsibility & Accountability: Takes initiative to effectively manage and complete all assigned duties.

Collaborative Approach: Works well with others and enjoys being part of a team.
