Corporate & Personal Tax Accountant

Read’s Accounting, located in Trenton, is a growing, client-focused firm providing corporate and personal tax, accounting, and advisory services. We pride ourselves on building long-term client relationships and delivering practical, high-quality solutions. As demand for our services continues to grow, we are looking to add an experienced tax professional to our team.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review T1 and T2 tax returns
• Prepare year-end files and financial statements
• Handle corporate and personal tax planning and compliance
• Respond to and manage CRA correspondence and audits
• Identify tax-saving opportunities and provide practical advice to clients
• Work directly with business owners and individuals to support their ongoing needs

Skills/Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting/tax
• Strong experience with corporate and personal tax (required)
• Experience in a public accounting firm is an asset
• Exposure to estate/trust tax filings is an asset
• CPA designation is not required, but considered an asset
• Strong working knowledge of Canadian tax rules and compliance
• Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines independently
