Construction Labourer (8 Positions)

Pinecrest Housing is currently hiring 8 Construction Labourers through the Canada Summer Jobs Program. This is a great opportunity for motivated youth to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry while contributing to residential housing projects in the community.

What We Offer

• 8 positions available
• Four-day work week (Monday–Thursday)
• 35 hours per week

Responsibilities:

• Assist with construction, renovation, and maintenance projects
• Load, unload, and move building materials and equipment
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Perform site clean-up and maintain an organized work area
• Support skilled tradespeople with various construction tasks
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
• Complete physically demanding tasks in a variety of weather conditions

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
• Previous construction experience is an asset but not required
• Reliable transportation is preferred
• Must have steel-toed safety boots

Canada Summer Jobs Eligibility Requirements

This position is funded through Canada Summer Jobs. Applicants must:

• Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
• Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person granted refugee protection under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
• Be legally entitled to work in Canada
• Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN)
