  Canadian Blast Freezers is seeking a Full Time Industrial Butcher join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Cut meat and poultry into specific cuts for institutional, commercial, or other wholesale use
• Ability to work on a steady-paced production line, conducting various tasks such as de-boning and or trimming pork cuts to customers’ specifications
•  Ensure proper care of knives and other tools provided
• Manually packaging pork cuts into various formats (bags, cartons, combos, or other containers)
• Loading product into packaging machinery
• Inspect packaged products to ensure they meet final packaging requirements
• Weighing product on scales and applying labels to cartons
• Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping in your area and following good manufacturing practices, quality, and safety procedures
• Strives to meet production yields/efficiencies standards
• Promotes an open two-way communication and takes accountability for one’s own work, with the goal of enabling a high-performance team
• Follows Canadian Blasts Freezers policies and procedures, health and safety policies, and HACCP standards
•  Promotes a respectful workplace, one that is healthy, safe, supportive, and values diversity
• Take Line/Unit Leader feedback on issues and opportunities to improve the production process

Skills/Qualifications:

• 2-3 Years experience
• Clean criminal record (willing to obtain record check)
• Grade 12 Diploma
• Able to work in a team environment
• Able to multitask
• Able to life up to 50lbs
• Able to work in a cold environment (4 °C) and stand for long periods of time
• Comfortable in a fast- paced working environment
• Comfortable working with meat
• Must wear provided PPE and follow GMP policy ( no jewelry, no piercing, no fake nails on production floor)
• References required

Additional Information:

• Wages $22.33 per hour
• Monday to Friday 6:30am-3:00pm
