Purpose
Career Edge is committed to maintaining a safe, trustworthy, and transparent job posting platform. This policy explains how users can report suspected fraudulent job postings and how Career Edge reviews and addresses those reports.
What Is a Fraudulent Job Posting?
A fraudulent job posting may include, but is not limited to, postings that:
- Misrepresent the identity of the employer
- Offer jobs that do not exist
- Request payment, banking information, or sensitive personal information from job seekers
- Impersonate legitimate organizations or recruiters
- Contain misleading or deceptive job details
How to Report a Suspected Fraudulent Job Posting
Users who believe a job posting on the Career Edge platform may be fraudulent are encouraged to report it promptly.
Reports can be submitted by email to: [email protected]
Please include, where possible:
- The job title and employer name
- A link to the job posting
- A brief description of the concern
There is no requirement to provide personal information to submit a report.
How Career Edge Reviews and Responds to Reports
When a report of a suspected fraudulent job posting is received, Career Edge will:
- Acknowledge receipt of the report, where appropriate
- Review the reported posting and any relevant information
- Take reasonable steps to assess the authenticity of the posting
- Take appropriate action, which may include:
- Removing or disabling the job posting
- Requesting clarification or verification from the employer
- Restricting or suspending the employer’s access to the platform
Career Edge reserves the right to determine the appropriate response based on the information available.
Platform Responsibility and Limitations
Job postings on the Career Edge platform may be submitted by external employers. While Career Edge takes reasonable steps to respond to reports of fraudulent postings, it does not guarantee the accuracy, authenticity, or reliability of third-party job advertisements.
Career Edge does not charge job seekers any fees for job opportunities and will never request payment or banking information as part of the process.
Record Retention
Career Edge will retain copies of this policy, including any previous versions, for three (3) years after the policy is no longer in effect, in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
