We are looking for a hard-working, high-energy and team-oriented individual to join our company as a full-time Heavy Equipment Mechanic.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure functionality of vehicles and equipment, repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues thoroughly and in a timely manner
  • Build and inspect machines as needed
  • Conduct repairs for maximum reliability and vehicle/equipment longevity
  • Inspect/diagnose faults/defects, test, dismantle, overhaul, repair and re-assemble engines, trailers, related equipment and components in a thorough and timely manner
  • Troubleshoot, clean, lubricate, adjust, weld, fabricate and electrical repairs of vehicles/equipment in a thorough and timely manner
  • Safely and efficiently perform preventative maintenance activities, services and general maintenance/repairs of fleet vehicles, trailers, rented equipment and components
  • Keep accurate records of all work and accurate records of all parts and service done on all vehicles and equipment
  • Complete paperwork as required, including, but not limited to, inspection sheets and all other repair/safety/maintenance forms
  • Perform road tests and emergency road repairs as needed
  • Other various repair and maintenance related tasks as needed and as directed

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

  • Knowledge of heavy equipment repair and maintenance
  • Hydraulic drill experience is preferred
  • Effective communication: Speak, listen and write in a clear and effective manner
  • Creativity/Innovation
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license
  • Fully licensed
  • Basic computer and smartphone knowledge
  • Able to withstand working in all elements (heat, cold, wind, rain)
  • Heavy lifting will be frequently required
