About the Position

As a Bakery Clerk, you will play an important role in providing customers with fresh, high-quality bakery products and excellent customer service. You will help maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bakery department while ensuring products are displayed attractively and meet Foodland’s quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and helpful customer service
• Assist customers with bakery product selections and questions
• Prepare, package, label, and stock bakery products
• Ensure bakery displays are well stocked, organized, and visually appealing
• Monitor product quality and freshness
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
• Assist with receiving and organizing bakery products and supplies
• Support other areas of the store as needed

Skills and Qualifications

• Previous bakery, food service, or retail experience is an asset, but not required
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently and as part of a team
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to follow food safety and workplace safety procedures
• Flexible availability, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends, as required
