We are seeking a part-time Bakery Assistant to join our team in Picton store. You will assist with the preparation and production of sourdough baked goods, packing customer orders, and keeping the bakery running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and production of baked goods, including bread, bagels, baguettes, butter tarts, cookies, and other sourdough specialties
• Form and shape cookies and other baked goods
• Pack and prepare customer orders accurately
• Assist with washing dishes and cleaning bakery equipment and work areas
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Work with team members to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time
• Follow food safety and sanitation practices
• Bring a positive attitude and willingness to learn to the workplace

Requirements

• Previous experience in a bakery or food service environment is an asset, but not required
• Food Handler Certification is an asset, but not required
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions
• Reliable and dependable
• Comfortable with early morning starts and physical tasks such as standing, lifting, and washing dishes
