Role Overview

The Fuel & Propane Delivery Driver is responsible for the courteous, safe, timely, and efficient loading and delivery of fuels and petroleum products to residential and commercial customers.
Additionally, assists with the delivery of lubricants and other products and equipment, when required.

Main Duties

Fuel Delivery Operations:

  • Safely load, transport, and deliver petroleum products and propane to customers in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Complete deliveries in accordance with all Ministry of Transportation (MTO), TDG, company, and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation, fuel tickets, logbooks, inspection records, and TDG reporting.
  • Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, circle checks, and basic vehicle maintenance.
  • Ensure delivery vehicles, cab interiors, uniforms, and work areas remain clean and professional at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding deliveries, route conditions, customer concerns, safety issues, and operational improvements.
  • Assist with the delivery of lubricants, packaged products, and additional equipment, as required.
  • Perform other duties, as required.

  • Participate in ongoing safety meetings, training, and certification programs.
  • Adhere to all legal and company regulations affecting the operation of motor vehicles.

Education and Experience Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid DZ driver’s licence required.
  • Minimum 3 years of post-certification commercial driving experience required.
  • Fuel hauling and/or petroleum delivery experience strongly preferred.
  • Liquid bulk transportation experience considered an asset.
  • PM3, PM4, PMH certifications are considered assets.
  • Forklift and boom truck experience considered an asset.
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability required.
  • Clean driver’s abstract and acceptable CVOR required.

Other:

  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 lbs.
  • Frequent bending, climbing, and movement of heavy materials and equipment.
  • Occasional evening, weekend, and after-hours on-call work required.
  • Occasional out-of-town travel may be required.
  • Must possess strong local geographical knowledge.
