Yard Worker – Seasonal

We are seeking to add a Yard Worker (1 FT and 1 PT) for the season to our team. This is a physically demanding outdoor labour role requiring fitness, strength, stamina, and the ability to work in varying weather conditions. Candidates must be comfortable with repetitive physical activity including bending, lifting, standing for extended periods, and working around water and boats, including frequently getting on and off boats and docks safely.

This role also requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to serve every guest to Waupoos Marina in a positive, clean, and professional manner. Do you take pride in your work? Responsibilities and Duties:

• Maintaining lawns, gardens, flower beds, and outdoor grounds
• Assisting with the launching, docking, and moving of boats
• Safely getting on and off boats and docks while assisting customers and completing marina tasks
• Providing friendly and professional customer service to marina guests
• Completing minor maintenance and repairs to structures, docks, and systems on the property
• Cleaning and maintaining marina facilities, grounds, and common areas
• Moving, lifting, and organizing equipment, supplies, and materials
• Assisting with seasonal property upkeep and general labour tasks
• Ensuring the marina property remains safe, clean, and visually appealing
• Following workplace safety procedures and maintaining a safe environment around boats and water

Qualifications and Skills:

• Ability to perform physically demanding work in an outdoor environment
• Comfortable lifting, carrying, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods
• Comfortable working around water and safely boarding and exiting boats
• Strong work ethic with attention to detail and pride in maintaining property appearance
• Positive attitude and strong customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous landscaping, labour, marina, or maintenance experience is considered an asset
