Fitak Woodcraft, located in the Napanee area, is a small cabinet shop with over 40 years experience building high-end cabinetry and kitchens. Learn while you earn an interesting, enjoyable and in-demand trade. Fitak Woodcraft is looking for an individual with an interest in woodworking looking to elevate their skills.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting in assembling/installing cabinets
• Sand with machines and hand sanders
• Load and unload materials
• Sort raw materials and check for obvious defects
• Maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace by sweeping sawdust and clearing debris.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Operate basic shop machinery, sanders, or hand tools under supervision
• Ability to lift and carry wood stock, often up 50 pounds
• Read a tape measure and use other basic measuring tools accurately
• Understand basic workshop safety
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong willingness to take direction from owner
• High school shop class or work experience an asset

Additional Information:

• Full-time but possible flexibility in hours
• Ideal for someone looking to learn the trade
• Semi-retired and veterans also welcome to apply
• Own transportation required to north shore Hay Bay
• Wages: $18/hour to start
