Traynor Family Vineyard is building a more direct sales organization across Ontario and is looking for a Territory Sales Representative to develop and manage Eastern Ontario.
This is a field-based sales role anchored at our winery in Hillier, Prince Edward County. The territory covers a mix of LCBO, grocery, convenience and licensed hospitality accounts across Eastern Ontario.
The objective is straightforward: put more feet on the street, build stronger account relationships, reactivate lapsed business and grow distribution throughout the territory.
The initial territory will generally extend:
The territory is intentionally broad while the account base is being developed. As sales density grows, portions may eventually be divided into additional territories.
You’ll take ownership of the territory and be responsible for both growing new business and maintaining existing relationships.
Responsibilities include:
This is not a desk-based sales position. A substantial portion of the week will be spent visiting customers throughout Eastern Ontario.
The position will normally include one regular shift per week at Traynor Family Vineyard, currently anticipated to be Saturday.
Working at the winery keeps the territory representative connected to our wines, customers, production team and hospitality operation.
Winery shifts are compensated separately through our normal hospitality pay structure and participate in applicable tip pooling.
As the territory develops, we expect to explore combining sales and delivery into a route-sales model.
That could include providing a company vehicle and having the territory representative deliver orders while servicing accounts.
The goal is to eventually combine:
sales + account service + delivery + merchandising + reorders
into an efficient territory route.
We’re looking for someone who:
Wine, hospitality, beverage alcohol or field-sales experience is useful, but strong relationship-building ability, organization and sales discipline are more important.
A valid driver’s licence and reliable access to a vehicle are initially required.
For the initial 90-day territory-development period:
$25/hour, up to 40 hours per week
plus:
After the initial development period, compensation will transition toward a combination of guaranteed base compensation plus sales commission, with increasing earnings potential as the territory grows.
The long-term compensation structure and transition stages will be clearly established in the employment agreement.
