LARC requires a Cook (Temporary) for North Addington Childcare effective October 13, 2026 – April 30, 2027. This position is 4 hours per day, five days per week. Position based on enrolment. Two weeks’ notice will be provided should the incumbent return to their position earlier.

Qualifications:

•Diploma in nutrition, food preparation and demonstrated experience cooking within a professional setting.
•CPR and First Aid Training essential
•Valid driver’s license and insurance coverage

Requirements:

•Required to prepare nutritious and healthy meals/snacks according to the Canada’s Food Guide ensuring adequate nourishment and special dietary requirements are met.
•Adhere to all recommendations outlined by the Ministry of Health and/or the Ministry of Education
•Develop and implement daily menu plans
•Ensure the cleanliness of the center by adhering to all pertinent acts and codes that relate to the sanitary practices for the center.
•Participate as a team member in all aspects of the program and supporting the daycare staff when needed.
•Maintain proper documentation in regard to menu changes in kitchen journal
•Must possess flexibility and creativity.
•Grocery shopping weekly
