LION HEALTHCARE, supporting senior residents in the CAMPBELLFORD area are looking to hire CASUAL/PART TIME/FULL TIME RESIDENT CARE AND SAFETY AIDES.

Job Duties:

• Provide one-on-one supervision, engagement and companionship to residents through activities such as conversation, walking, reading, games, television or arts and crafts.
• Support residents’ emotional well-being and personhood by offering comfort, reassurance, and meaningful interaction
• Observe residents closely and report any changes in behavior, mood or physical condition to nursing staff or PSW’s
• Assist residents with approved activities, mobility and gentle exercises as directed by the care team
• Use Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA) techniques to support residents experiencing responsive behaviours
• Maintain continuous supervision of the assigned resident to ensure safety and prevent incidents
• Complete required observation documentation and update DOS binders at scheduled intervals
• Assist with maintaining a clean and safe environment, including high-touch cleaning during outbreaks and supporting PPE organization

Required Compliance:

Due to Ontario Long-Term Care regulations, candidates must have the following documents before starting shifts.

Candidates who already have completed compliance documentation will be prioritized for upcoming shifts

• Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) – issued within the last 6 months
• 2-Step TB Test – issued within the last 6 months
• COVID – 19 Vaccination Proof
• Influenza Vaccination Proof (current season)
• CPR and 1st Aid
• N95 Mask Fit Test
• WHMIS Certificate
• Worker Health & Safety Awareness (WHSA) Certificate
• Government Issued ID
• Able to provide 3 Professional References
