Site: Lennox & Addington Hospital – 8 Richmond Park Dr

Schedule: Continental Nights Only, 1900-0700

Payrate: $19.00/hour

Job Description:

• Proactive & reactive security patrols of main site and outlying facilities
• Patient Watches
• Response to incidents and intervention
• De-escalation
• Surveillance monitoring
• Report writing
• Investigate routine incidents
• Parking and smoking enforcement/by-laws
• Policy awareness and enforcement
• Additional Duties as Assigned

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 6 months healthcare security experience required
• Valid Ontario Security License
• Valid Standard First Aid & CPR – Level C (from a WSIB-approved source)
• Proof of (minimum) double COVID-19 vaccination
• A copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, and TB Skin Tests – Step 1 & 2)

• Immunization Form:Immunization-Record-Ontario-Paladin.pdf
• Ability to complete extensive patrols, to sit/stand for up to 12 hours per shift
• Ability to work alone and self-motivated
• Fluency in English (oral and written)
• Excellent communication and de-escalation skills is required
• Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
  • Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin’s UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
  • Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availability
