Responsibilities:

• Assist in the construction of hardscape and landscape projects.
• Install interlock patios, walkways, driveways, and retaining walls.
• Perform grading, excavation, and site preparation.
• Install natural stone, armour stone, and garden features.
• Install sod, trees, shrubs, and planting beds.
• Operate and maintain landscape equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load, unload, and transport materials.
• Read and follow site plans and project instructions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
• Work collaboratively with the Team Lead and other crew members.
• Provide professional service and represent Hill County positively on client sites.

Skills/Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of landscape construction experience required
• Valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence (DZ is considered an asset)
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Experience reading landscape drawings is an asset
• Knowledge of proper construction techniques and safe equipment operation
• Ability to work independently while taking direction from a Team Lead
• Punctual, dependable, and committed to quality workmanship
• Experience operating or assisting with the following equipment is considered an asset: Skid steers, mini excavators, compact wheel loaders, plate compactors, jumping jack compactors, cut-off saws, concrete saws, power wheelbarrows, chainsaws and handheld power equipment, landscape lasers and grading equipment

Additional Information:

• Wages: $22-$25 per hour
