Located on the shores of West Lake beside Sandbanks Provincial Park, Isaiah Tubbs Resort & Conference Centre is one of Prince Edward County’s premier waterfront destinations. Our resort features 74 guest rooms, The Knoll restaurant, three unique event venues, and conference facilities that host weddings, corporate meetings, family reunions, and special events throughout the year.

We are seeking a motivated and organized Sales & Marketing Coordinator to help grow our group, wedding, and conference business while ensuring an exceptional client experience from inquiry to event completion.

Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

• Identify and develop new group, wedding, conference, and event business.
• Build relationships with corporate clients, event planners, wedding planners, and community partners.
• Prepare proposals, quotes, and contracts for prospective clients.
• Track sales activities, forecasts, and performance metrics.
• Negotiate contracts while maximizing revenue and client satisfaction.

Client & Event Coordination

• Manage the complete client journey from initial inquiry through post-event follow-up.
• Serve as the primary contact for group, wedding, and conference bookings.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, food & beverage, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure successful events.
• Organize room blocks, dining arrangements, audiovisual requirements, special requests, and event timelines.

Booking & Administrative Support

• Manage group and event bookings using the resort’s property management system.
• Maintain accurate booking records, event specifications, and operational schedules.
• Ensure all departments receive detailed event information.

Payment Processing

• Prepare invoices, collect deposits, and process payments.
• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on accounts receivable.
• Maintain accurate financial documentation and reports.

Marketing & Promotions

• Assist with developing and executing marketing campaigns targeting weddings, conferences, and group travel.
• Maintain website content and online booking platforms.
• Create promotional materials and social media content.
• Attend networking events and trade shows to promote the resort and build new business opportunities.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

• Monitor booking trends, revenue, conversion rates, and guest satisfaction.
• Analyze market trends and competitor activity.
• Recommend improvements to sales strategies and guest experiences.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in sales, marketing, hospitality, events, or a related field.
• Proven ability to generate sales and build strong client relationships.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and property management systems (PMS) is an asset.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with weddings, conferences, or destination event planning.
• Knowledge of hospitality revenue management and pricing strategies.
• Familiarity with Prince Edward County’s tourism and hospitality industry.
• Experience with digital marketing, SEO, website management, and social media
