Beatty Seeds Ltd. Is a family owned and operated business which processes and conditions grains and soybeans. Beatty Seeds is primarily a seed wholesaler who supplies a dealer network. As well, we process and ship food-grade wheat and  soybeans – locally and internationally.

Beatty Seeds is in search of an Production Specialist who is a self starter, takes initiative and looking to work as part of a team environment.

Requirements

• Forklift Operation

• Comfortable lifting up to 30 kg
• Work in both hot and cold environments, both indoors and outdoors and at heights

The day to day operations involves nut not limited to the following

• Grain loading/unloading
• Assist in loading/unloading of trucks/wagons/containers and follow loading instructions and forms
• Assign commodities to storage locations in operating system; retain processing and shipping samples for customers
• Assist with maintenance and cleaning of facility
• Assist with general elevator and warehouse operations
• Provide excellent customer service and abide by shipping schedules
• Identify and troubleshoot problems with equipment and machinery

Qualifications

The successful candidate should enter the position with the following qualification:

• Grain handling and storage knowledge as asset
• Great customer service skills
• Assertive, Adaptable & Flexible
• Problem solving & Decision making
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
• Must be able to get in and out of, and operate all vehicles and equipment
• Must climb ladders, stairs, walk on platforms, etc. at various heights to perform required duties
• Must be able to work in outdoor conditions with extremes in seasonal weather patterns will apply. May include wet or snow covered surfaces
• Experience: Forklift: 1 year (preferred)

Please be aware that this job requires you to be able to work in dusty environments. You must also be willing to work longer than the average 8 hours at certain times of the year. For example the shifts will be longer during the harvest season.
