Preferred Personal Care is seeking the following Personal Support workers to join their team

·         Part Time

·         Casual

Responsibilities:

• Possess a strong client- centered approach with patients and family in a professional and courteous manner
• Able to effectively manage challenging situations and assess, anticipate and respond to patient’s requirements
• Proven punctuality in attendance is a must
• Provide assistance with activities of daily living that involve the patient’s cognitive and physical well being
• Maintain a safe environment for clients and staff
• Able to maintain strict confidentiality in all areas of responsibility

Qualifications:

• Valid Personal Support Worker Certificate
• Valid CPR Level “C” & First Aid AED certification
• Valid Driver’s License and own vehicle
• Valid Police Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening within the last 3 months
• 1-2 years of relevant work experience
• Basic computer skills, able to use email efficiently
• Able to work independently and collaboratively with an inter professional team in a fast paced, changing environment
• Up to date vaccinations including COVID 19 x 3, MMR and Flu
• TB Step 2 Test or Chest Xray
• Knowledge of CPI, Mental Health, Diabetes and Dementia are assets
• Proven commitment to ongoing professional development

Additional Information:

• Full Time, Part Time & Casual work available
• Must be available to work days, nights & weekends
