Karten Metals in Trenton is seeking someone with outstanding customer service skills to fill the role of Full-time Scale & Office Clerk.

Job Duties: 

• Operate weight scale and service customers, keeping all records organized

• Answer incoming calls in a timely manner with a friendly, outgoing demeanor
• Recording daily financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments
• Ensuring the financial records of the organization are accurate

• Invoicing customers, entering purchases from suppliers

• Greeting guests in the dealership and assisting with needs – where required, you will ensure guests are escorted to their desired location in a timely and efficient manner
• Directing incoming phone calls to appropriate personnel
• Completing reports etc. as requested by management
• Perform other admin duties as required/requested by management

Qualifications:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to handle stressful situations and be able to make quick and effective decisions to satisfy business needs
• Ability to understand and follow instructions
• Ability to read, retain and comprehend guidelines, policies and procedures applicable to the position.
• Must have own safety footwear, safety glasses, safety vest and or clothing as required
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team
• Reliable and excellent problem-solving skills
• Focused on completing goals
• Organized and excellent time management skills
• Bilingual in Chinese is an asset

Additional Information:

• Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am-5pm
