Casual Supply Staff are needed at Lamplighter Preschool and the chosen candidate will be playing, enaging (promoting language, self-help, self-regulation and other skills) and supervision of children. Communication with co-workers and working as a Team. Being welcoming and professional, assist in tidying, diapering and settling children to rest. Be flexible, calm, patient with children, be caring, enthusiastic and taking initiative while working in a loud, busy, fast paced environment. Adhere to all policies and procedures and follow the direction of full time Educators.
A car is necessary if not living in Napanee or walking distance. Working with children has bending, sitting, standing, stooping, lifting and kneeling. Be prepared to play in most weather/seasons. Shoes, boots, rain gear etc. Those with Safe Food Handlers Certificate may be called in to cover kitchen when the Cook is away. Cook is on their feet a lot, around HOT itmes, bending, stoopig, reaching and lifting. Time mangement with meal prep and delivery, dishes, follow recipes and keep a safe, sanitized work space. Following the job description, following instructions from the Health Inspector and posted allergy lists.
RECE preferred (send RECE#), consideration for PSW, DSW, CYW, EA and SSW. Child care experience an asset with minimum High School diploma. Starting rate depends on RECE vs nonRECE.

To work with children, YOU MUST HAVE: Vulnerable Sector Check completed within the last 6 months, a WSIB approved (as per the Ministry of Ed) Standard First Aid & CPR Level C, and Immunizations up to date (as per the Southeast Public Health). Safe Food Handlers an asset!
