Located in the heart of Prince Edward County, Isaiah Tubbs Resort & Conference Centre offers a unique blend of hospitality, natural beauty, and exceptional guest experiences. Our team is dedicated to providing outstanding service in a welcoming and collaborative environment.

We are currently seeking a Housekeeping Attendant to join our team and help ensure our guest rooms and facilities are clean, comfortable, and welcoming.

Work Schedule: Seasonal work from the end of May to Mid-October. Hours vary based on hotel occupancy. Predicted 20-40 hrs per week. Working days include weekends and holidays. Start times to be negotiated with Housekeeping Manager. Pay is at $17.60/hr.

Housekeeping Duties:

  • Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas so that health standards are met.
  • Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers.
  • Handle cleaning devices/chemicals safely and appropriately.
  • Empty wastebaskets/other trash bins, and transport waste to disposal areas.
  • Sweep, scrub, wax, and/or polish floors, using brooms, mops, and/or powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
  • Keep storage areas and carts well stocked, clean, and tidy.
  • Remove debris from high traffic areas, such as driveways or pool area.
  • Replace light bulbs when needed.
  • Replenish room supplies (coffee, linens, and bathroom items.)
  • Sort linens and other articles, load washing machines, iron and fold dried items.
  • Sort, count, and mark clean linens in designated areas.
  • Wash windows, walls, ceilings, metal work and woodwork. Waxing and polishing as necessary.
  • Deliver room items, ironing boards, baby cribs, and rollaway beds to guest rooms upon request.
  • Move/arrange furniture, hang draperies and turn mattresses.
  • Observe precautions required to protect hotel and guest property. Report damage, theft, and lost/found articles to supervisors.
  • Wash dishes, clean kitchens, cooking utensils and silverware.
  • Carry linens, towels, toilet items and cleaning supplies.

Qualifications:

  • Reliable transportation to and from work is required
  • Previous customer service experience is an asset
  • Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience is an asset, but not required
  • Punctual with strong attendance and reliability
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Personable, organized, and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable interacting with guests in a professional and service-focused manner
