Contract Position – Temporary Full Time RECE
Qualifications: RECE (preferred) in good standings with the College of ECE, knowledge of the CCEYA, current VSC (less than 6 months old), standard first aid, CPR level C and immunizations up-to-date.
While RECE is preferred, we will consider graduates of DSW, PSW, CYW etc as well.
We are looking for an honest, fun, ‘not afraid to get down and dirty and play’ candidate. Be a competent team player, show initiative, enthusiastic and energetic to the fast-paced, loud environment of childcare. Be flexible to shift rotating/sharing and other operational needs. Professional, friendly, welcoming rapport with parents, children, co-workers and members of the community that come into the Preschool. Candidate must have positive and good communication skills, both verbal and written, towards the children, parents and their co-workers and assist with any goals for children with special needs.
Engage, play and supervision of children, set up activities, assist with self-help skills, self-regulation, share in programming and documenting via Lillio program. Share in daily diapering, cleaning and all policies and procedures herein. The candidate will keep up with the current ECE trends and attend workshops when available to maintain professionalism and adhere to all allergy and other emergency postings.
Physical job of lifting, bending, stooping, going from sitting on floor to standing etc. Share input and ideas at monthly staff meetings. Adhere to Covid self-screening and isolation rules, vaccinations and boosters encouraged. PPE provided.
RECE starting rate $27.00, this includes wage grants.
PSW, DSW, EA etc consideration with starting wage of $22.90.
