A Sales Associate generates TSG’s revenue through active engagement with prospects and current clients. The Sales Associate reports to the respective Department Manager. 


Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Prospect new opportunities through cold calling, engage existing client base and request referral.
  • Service existing client and member policies.
  • Present solutions to prospective clients.
  • Seek opportunities to cross sell/up sell products to existing clients.
  • Refer P&C insurance opportunities to the personal and business insurance teams.
  • Document client interactions into the company broker management system (BMS).
  • Source new insurance carrier partners and products to expand product offering.
  • Produce marketing plans to support growth initiatives.
  • Build and maintain a profitable sales pipeline through the following steps:
    • Prospect clients; find a suitable services/products for the prospects.
    • Contact prospects and build relationships; listen and understand their needs; finalize the deal.
    • Follow up on cold leads by checking in periodically.
    • Keep your pipeline up to date.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Number of calls and appointments per day, week and month.
  • Monthly revenue generated through new sales (# of policies written).
  • Closing ratio.
  • Number of referrals to other divisions.


  • RIBO Licenced.
  • LLQP license is an asset, but not essential for Candidacy.

  • $55,000/year base salary, plus commissions.
  • 3 weeks vacation.
  • Roboust Group benefits wherein the employee only pays 50% of the monthly premium and The Shepherd Group pays the other 50%.
