 The Vic is under new ownership and is looking for a team with a passion for excellent service, lots of energy and a passion for providing a fantastic guest experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Ensuring the kitchen is run smoothly and complies with all food handling procedures and regulations. Implements company food standards, maintains sanitation levels, oversees all kitchen operations by monitoring staff, scheduling kitchen employees and ensuring overall quality.

Responsibilities:

• Manage kitchen staff and coordinate food orders.
• Maintaining inventory for food and beverage to ensure the kitchen is adequately stocked.
• Overseeing training of employees to ensure the safe operation of kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Supervise, train, and schedule kitchen staff to provide quality, hygienic, standardized food.
• Maintain the inventory and budget for supplies and materials in a cost-efficient manner.
• Open and close the kitchen each day, including monitoring supplies and reducing waste.
• Managing inventory for food and beverage items to ensure the kitchen is adequately stocked.
• Hiring, training, and disciplining kitchen staff such as line cooks and dishwashers.
• Seeking ways to improve kitchen processes and ensure prompt service
• Work with managers to ensure that the menu is correct and up to date.
• Set standards for kitchen cleanliness and ensure cleaning is done regularly

Job Requirements:

• Leadership and customer service skills, as well as the ability to work in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and Holidays.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of industry standards on food storage, procedures, standards and handling techniques is highly desirable.
• Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor during stressful and/or busy times.
