YOUTH HABILITATION QUINTE INC. (CAREER EDGE)

JOB DEVELOPER

Youth Habilitation Quinte Inc.’s Employment Ontario Employment Services Program, known as Career Edge, requires an individual to provide job development services in its Picton location. This is a full-time maternity leave contract position starting May 2021 and ending February 2022.

The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills, knowledge of the local labour market and labour legislation, have expertise in recruitment and placement, direct marketing experience, experience in managing budgets, demonstrated proficiency in the delivery of services to youth and adults as well as proficiency with a variety of computer applications. The candidate will ideally be familiar with the requirements and guidelines for placement under provincially funded employment services.  Knowledge of EOIS-CaMS would be considered an asset.  

Responsibilities & Duties

Responsibilities include assessment of program participants, referrals to other agencies and employers, development of training plans, placement, monitoring of contracts and expenditures as well as public relations.


Qualifications

Three years related experience is preferred.   A valid driver’s licence and a vehicle are required.
