Housekeeping & Guest Service Supervisor for Luxury Camp & Flower Experience on Waterfront Organic Farm in Prince Edward County

$17-$22/hr, based on the qualifications and experience of the applicant.  May to end of October, full-time, 30-40 hours per week.  Staff accommodations may be available onsite.

Fronterra is a 58 acre organic farm located in Prince Edward County, Canada (2 hours from Toronto). Our family farm produces cut flowers and aromatics, vegetables, hops, barley and wheat. During the tourist season, Fronterra offers luxury camping and agro-tourism experiences that connect guests to nature while transferring related skills that have a positive impact on the environment. Fronterra’s vision is to foster a shift toward healthy, sustainable lifestyles and promote the understanding of our connection to the diversity of the natural world that sustains us.  

Fronterra is looking for a Housekeeping & Guest Service Supervisor to assist with the start-up, shutdown and operation of our 10 luxury prospector tents and sites which are spaced 30 m apart in a beautiful old growth forest.  Main duties include housekeeping for the tents as well as assisting guests with various requests in a physically distanced manner.  Part of the role also entails basic staff scheduling, laundry/supply inventory management and post-cleaning inspection to ensure our quality standards are met.  During slower periods, the candidate may be involved in other duties related to the operation of the farm such as attending the flower gardens or orienting guests for our new flower experience (these duties depend on timing, skills and interests). 

Skills & Qualifications

The candidate must have the following set of skills and qualifications:

  • Experience in housekeeping and guest services
  • Highly organized and meticulous
  • Ability to work with a team and independently
  • Aptitude for leadership to create a positive work environment
  • Comfortable working outside doing physically demanding tasks
  • Health and Safety mindfulness; We take safety very seriously at the farm. All staff must adhere to our safety policies including regional COVID guidelines
  • Current police background check
