Food Production Team Members

Posted on February 19, 2021 is a food product development and production company based in Picton, Ontario. We focus on creating fermented food products such as kosher dill pickles, sauerkraut, and other pickled vegetables for clients based in the USA.

County Brinery is currently seeking reliable, hard and smart working food production team members to join our food production lines in our expanding operation. In this role, you will be a valuable part of our food production team, ensuring our production quotas are met in a timely fashion while observing the highest standards of safety and quality. You will need to be reliable and punctual, able to perform physical tasks that are repetitive, and sometimes do some lifting and fast paced production on a regular basis.

Duties + Responsibilities

  • Work on the food production line with consistent speed and accuracy
  • Ensure that food production requirements and standards are met consistently
  • Make every effort to increase productivity and efficiency without compromising quality
  • Complete raw material food product cleaning, sorting of raw material, food packing once items are fermented, packaging tasks such as box assembly, packing, and taping, and other duties that may be assigned to you while we are in food production
  • Operate machinery correctly and maintain it with care
  • Report any machinery issues to management
  • Work cooperatively with the production team to meet quotas and goals
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Observe all safety guidelines and report safety concerns to management
  • Follow all written and verbal instructions
  • Attend all safety and production trainings
  • Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude
  • Able to work overtime as needed, including nights and weekends

Requirements + Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. We are also open to those that maybe
    haven’t finished school, looking to finish school or want a shot at a great career in food
    production. We are open-minded and believe in people, not necessarily diplomas
  • 2+ years’ experience working in industrial production is strongly preferred
  • Flexible schedule and willingness to work 2nd and 3rd shift preferred
  • Must be available for nights and weekends/occasional overtime (not too often but
  • Capable of reading and understanding production documents and safety manuals
  • Basic math, reading, and writing skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to comply with all safety guidelines at all times
  • Physically capable of manual labor that includes lifting, bending, and reaching
  • Able to operate large industrial machinery
  • Able to lift 5-10 lbs on sometimes
  • Able to work 8 hour shifts standing
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team

2 weeks vacation to start, and on-going training and learning. This is a full-time position that
requires non-traditional hours of work and someone to be on the call of duty at any moment and
time. Regular work hours are 40 hours per week however some after hour duties may be required
from time to time but within reason.
