Customer Service Representative (FT – Seasonal)

Role Summary:

Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer requests, enquiries and questions in person and on the telephone. The CSR coordinates timely and cost-effective deliveries, through efficient dispatching of drivers and trucks. The role also requires receipt and processing of payments, invoicing customers and general account management.

This is a full-time (40 hours per week) seasonal role, working Monday to Friday. We anticipate this role will continue full-time until the end of March 2022. This may be extended subject to the needs of business and by mutual agreement. Full training is provided.

Main Responsibilities:

The following is a summary of the main responsibilities for this role:

  • Coordinate delivery schedules and dispatch drivers in a planned and efficient manner.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, in person or on the phone and investigate complaints regarding the company’s goods, services and policies.
  • Take customer orders for goods or services; promote goods or services; respond to inquiries and emergencies; investigate complaints and update accounts.
  • Provide information about accounts; update accounts; initiate billing and process payments, and receive payment for services.
  • Undertake collection calls and follow-up.
  • Complete and review daily truck reports, bulk plants and card lock inventory daily.
  • Process banking accurately on a daily basis.
  • Provide backup support for other Customer Service Representatives and Managers in the Belleville office as may be required.
  • Any other duties as required.

Requirements

Education and Experience Required:

  • Post-secondary education in administration or accounting is required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a customer service/administrative or accounting role is required.
  • Previous dispatch experience would be an advantage.

Other Requirements:

  • A high degree of proficiency in the use of Microsoft suite of software.
  • Exceptional communications skills, both verbal, written and on the telephone.
  • Ability to multi-task, juggle competing deadlines and multiple priorities.
