Ah-Bohd Home Store is set to open its new store location on Hwy#62 in Rossmore and is seeking to hire Customer Care Associates with full-time and part-time opportunities. The In-Store Retail Associate is a vital part of the Ah-Bohd Home Store, and they work collaboratively to ensure that every customer interaction and experience is a positive one.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Greeting and engaging with customers and promoting a welcoming and comfortable environment.
  • Providing professional and attentive assistance to customers.
  • Performing opening and closing procedures, including cleaning and organization.
  • Operating the POS and cash register, accurately handling financial transactions, and facilitating customers’ seamless cash-out experience.
  • Keeping up-to-date on product knowledge to be able to advise and assist customers effectively.
  • Communicating and working collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Light merchandising and constant tidying and face-up of the store throughout the day, so shelves are stocked, organized, and shoppable.
  • Prioritizing and taking the initiative to complete tasks.
  • Supporting in other business areas as needed.
  • Handling confidential customer and business information sensitively and responsibly.
  • Carrying out other tasks as directed by management.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Minimum one year of experience in a customer service environment, retail industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated interest in home goods and decor.
  • Outstanding interpersonal relationship-building with customers and coworkers.
  • Demonstrated ability to retain product knowledge and desire to learn about new products and brands continually.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to take the initiative independently while working cohesively within a team.
  • An approachable, friendly, and inclusive personality that promotes a comfortable environment.
  • Excellent computer literacy and ability to learn new software.
  • Evidence of the ability to practice confidentiality and use sound discretion when making decisions.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift and move 50 lbs.

Product and store-specific training provided to the successful candidates.

Ah-Bohd Home Store strictly applies COVID-19 safety measures for the sake of all their Staff and Customers; we invite all applicants who are double vaccinated and equipped with/able to wear a facemask while on the job to join our team.

Hours of operations are Monday – Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Sunday 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., with the possibility of rotating weekend shifts. Both part-time (15-20 hours per week) and full-time (30-40 hours per week) opportunities be available. The ideal candidates will rotate weekends, be flexible to cover or pick up shifts occasionally and provide extra support during busy periods if needed.

Start Date: ASAP.

Wage: will be determined and offered based on commensurate with experience.
