Youth Habilitation Quinte Inc. (Youthab) requires an Administrative Clerk in its Belleville office to support the administrative needs of the agency. This is a full-time contract position with a planned start date of January 15, 2025 ending on March 1, 2027.

Who We Are

Youthab is a community based non-profit organization established in 1984 with services designed around 3 pillars – housing, mental health, and employment. We support, connect, and empower people to obtain and maintain safe and affordable housing, good mental health, and employment facilitating their transition to independence. Our programs operate under the names of Youthab, Career Edge, and Next Step Housing Connection.

Who You Are

As an Administrative Clerk, you have strong interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills, excellent customer service skills and have the ability to multi-task in a busy environment. You are proficient in the use of computers and related software programs, various data entry systems, and have demonstrated organizational skills related to filing systems and office procedures. You enjoy working with people, are detail oriented, have good time management skills and work effectively under pressure and with deadlines. You will bring a friendly and welcoming personality to the position, greeting clients with various housing, mental health, and employment needs. Having knowledge of website development and social media platforms would be an asset.

Key Responsibilities

• Greeting clients and visitors upon arrival

• Answering and directing telephone calls

• Booking appointments for counsellors

• Maintaining various filing and documentation systems

• Receiving and distributing incoming mail and deliveries

• Preparing outgoing mail and deliveries

• Registering staff and clients for various training opportunities

• Assisting with new employee orientation

• Procuring office supplies, print material, furniture, equipment, books and resources

• Obtaining quotes and preparing contracts for office renovations and maintenance

• Responding to inquiries received through the agency’s websites and social media networks

• Distributing agency job postings internally and externally

• Supporting the administration of various program evaluation surveys

• Managing and maintaining various internal agency and committee funds

Qualifications

• College Diploma in a business/administration field.

• Minimum two years of relevant experience.

• Valid driver’s licence and personal vehicle
