JOB TITLE:                            Senior Maintenance Mechanic


REPORTING TO:                  Business Development Director, ACF


GENERAL DESCRIPTION:        The immediate responsibilities facing the successful candidate will be organizing priorities, the requisition of parts and following preventative maintenance programs. The ideal candidate must possess excellent organizational skills and produce quality work on demand. Due to the nature of this position the successful candidate will be able to work with schedules and plans and possess a self-confident attitude. Performance will be measured by the workmanship of the plant machines, electrical, lighting (repair time and quality), fabrication (quality of the workmanship) and the attitude of the candidate. Must be a team player and with a co-operative work style. Opportunities for advancement and growth could be to maintenance supervisor and maintenance manager.




General :

1.   Must abide by all Health and Safety Rules and have demonstrated commitment to good housekeeping/organizational practices.

2.     Responsible for high Manufacturing Reporting Quality, Just-In-Time, and compliance to company standards.

3.     Maintain good working relationships with others.

4.     Strive for continuous improvement in all aspects of the work environment, this includes active participation in company committees, project teams and relevant job training

5.     Commit to your self-development goals as discussed with your supervisor and attend all company-sponsored training.

6.     ISO 9001 training.


Must Have:

q  High school diploma

q  Good Communication skills

q  Industrial electrician

q  Background in electronics

q  Able to read hydraulic & pneumatic schematics

q  10 years of maintenance experience Desired:

Ø  Basic plumbing experience

Ø  Computer knowledge

Ø  Phone system experience

Ø  Lead Hand / Supervisory experience

Ø  PLC programming and experience (preferably Omron)

Ø  Able to program controllers





  • Planning & organizing work load
  • Electrical and lighting
  • PLC programming and diagnostics (training provided)
  • Reduce machine down time
  • Rudimentary plumbing
  • Fire system maintenance
  • Other duties as required
  • Works with maintenance team, extensive and varied people contact
