Otter Energy is one of Ontario’s largest and most established solar companies, with its roots in solar project construction and maintenance. Since its founding in 2009, Otter has grown into a full-service solar provider and has expanded its services to include Project Development, Operation, Maintenance and Financing. Otter is seeking a full-time Outbound Call Agent that is passionate about sales. The ideal candidate must want to be part of an entrepreneurial and growing team, who is able to be hands on, and who strives to take ownership over what they do.



The Outbound Call Agent is responsible for soliciting orders for goods or services over the telephone. The Outbound Call Agent will be responsible for the development of leads or use the leads provided to call potential and pre-existing customers in order to sell our product and services. The Outbound Call Agent has a strong knowledge of the products/services sold by Otter Energy Inc and is able to clearly identify the benefits to the listener on the telephone. A strong Outbound Call Agent will have the ability to earn up to an additional $5000 a month.



  • Contact businesses or private individuals by telephone in order to solicit sales for goods or services, or to request donations for charitable causes.
  • Explain products or services and prices, and answer questions from customers.
  • Obtain customer information such as name, address, and payment method, and enter orders into computers.
  • Record names, addresses, purchases, and reactions of prospects contacted.
  • Adjust sales scripts to better target the needs and interests of specific individuals.
  • Obtain names and telephone numbers of potential customers from sources such as telephone directories, magazine reply cards, and lists purchased from other organizations.
  • Answer telephone calls from potential customers who have been solicited through advertisements.
  • Telephone or write letters to respond to correspondence from customers or to follow up initial sales contacts.
  • Maintain records of contacts, accounts, and orders.
  • Schedule appointments for sales representatives to meet with prospective customers or for customers to attend sales presentations.
  • Conduct client or market surveys in order to obtain information about potential customers.
  • Deliver prepared sales talks, reading from scripts that describe products or services, in order to persuade potential customers to purchase a product or service or to make a donation.
