Job Description
The Logistics & Supply Chain Administrator supports logistics operations, including shipment scheduling, ensuring contract obligations are met, supply chain organization and interface with customers, suppliers and personnel.
Primary Responsibilities
 Work closely with customer service representatives, truck loaders, and carriers to efficiently create and manage the loading schedule for trucks, railcars, and containers.
 Maintain visibility into raw materials and work with supply chain to ensure levels are maintained
 Interface with customers and carriers to ensure timely and efficient expectations are met
 Adapt shipping schedules with changing customer demand and/or plant issues
 First line contact for truck contractor issues
 Ensure shipments meet DOT, MOE, and international shipping requirements
 Act as the internal agent responsible for coordinating with field personnel deliveries to job locations
 Work with brokers and transportation providers to ensure streamlined procedures in line with our business and products. Ensure vendors are in compliance with applicable regulations
 Interface with suppliers to secure our locations material requirements
 Select vendors and negotiate competitive pricing for logistics
 5 years logistics experience – understanding of NAFTA, DOT requirements. Transportation of Dangerous Goods certification is an asset
 Organized with the ability to work independently and unsupervised
 Advanced troubleshooting skills
 Good interpersonal skills with positive attitude
 Computer literacy, including the knowledge of ERP/CRM software
 Shows initiative
 People skills, including patience to deal with customers, co-workers and principals
 College diploma is a minimum requirement
