Prince Edward Learning Centre is looking for an energetic, empathetic, business oriented trainer for youth needing assistance to succeed in education and in the workforce.  3 Year Contract renewable annually. 

 

You Will:

  • Recruit and assess youth for program participation
  • Recruit and assess employers for program participation
  • Deliver training in the area of Literacy & Essential Skills
  • Organize work placements with employers
  • Assist with successful transitions to the work placements
  • Provide on-going support while on the job
  • Ensure compliance with all program objectives, reporting and tracking requirements
  • Support general Essential Skills program delivery including recruitment, intake and assessment, learner plan development, exit/follow-up and documentation.  
  • Refer participants to supportive community resources where appropriate. Maintain positive working relationships with referral case managers.

 

Education:

College Diploma or University Degree and demonstrated excellence in:  

  • working with youth group facilitation
  • establishing and maintaining successful relationships with community groups, employers, government agencies, co-workers and supervisors
  • program management and reporting

 

Other:

must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle  

must be willing to undergo a criminal record check with acceptable results for working with minors

must be able to work virtually with an online team and support the first co-hort virtually (equipment and training can be provided)
