Canadian Fertility Consultants is seeking a Human Resources Generalist who will be responsible for developing and maintaining functions related to all aspects of Human Resources and Health & Safety. This position is part-time in our Cobourg, ON office.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with senior management on Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and regulations
  • Provide resolutions to employee relation issues for 3 office locations
  • Oversee adequate orientation and training within the organization
  • Administer and record employee recognition and incentive programs
  • Perform interviews, screens, and recruit for entry level, professional and technical job openings
  • Manage salary structure, position documentation, and an evaluation system
  • Recommend, develop and maintain human resource databases both electronically and manually
  • Develop and provide recommendations for policies and processes
  • Assist in planning and organizing staff events and recreational activities
  • Keep job descriptions current
  • Provide general information and assistance internally and externally over the phone, electronically and in person
  • Coordinate and remain up to date with Health and Safety legislation ensuring overall compliance
  • Process payroll and ancillary items required therewith
  • Identify, develop and implement strategies for employee training
  • Complete other duties and projects as assigned


  • Human Resources Management certificate/diploma and minimum 3 years of work experience in HR
  • Demonstrated ability to provide beneficial recommendations to solve HR related issues related to regulations, laws and policies
  • Ability to develop and implement strategies
  • Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
  • Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work
  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
  • Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures
  • Motivated individual with proven initiative
