THE COMPANY

THE POSITION

We are looking for a skilled Housekeeping Supervisor to attend to our facilities with care and attention to detail. Candidates should have housekeeping experience but may apply with a desire to learn.

The ideal Housekeeping Supervisor is efficient yet details oriented, independent and able to work under tight timelines.

The position pays $17/hr plus yearly bonusing. Available shifts are approximately 8:00am to 3:00pm. The position is full time.

 

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the housekeeping to ensure a high performance of cleaning activities such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishing, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, while also performing similar duties.
  • Schedule and allocate housekeepers to cleaning areas each day through coordination with the front desk.
  • Making sure all rooms are cleaned and in tip top condition in time for guest arrival.
  • Ensure the cleaning and maintenance of any cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Deal with reasonable complaints and requests with professionalism and patience.
  • Continuously seek and make improvements to overall housekeeping functions.
  • Oversee the maintenance of cleanliness and neatness of work areas and all surrounding public use areas.
  • Oversee the daily operation of the laundry room ensuring that linens are being cleaned and folded properly.
  • Strictly enforcing rules regarding health and safety and being aware of company policies.
  • Train housekeeping staff on technique, quality, efficiency and safety.
  • Identify and train a suitable housekeeper to act in your position during your absence.
  • Know safety and emergency procedures and be aware of accident prevention policies.
  • Inspect every room with care prior to marking the room as cleaned and prepared for new guests.

 

 

Requirements of those applying:

  • Proven experience as a housekeeping technician (recommended, but not required).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Friendly manner is a must.
  • Ability to follow and enforce all company policies.
