Community Living Prince Edward is a not for profit organization that exists to facilitate the full participation, inclusion and citizenship of people with an intellectual disability in the life of the community. We are currently recruiting for a:
COORDINATOR, RESIDENTIAL SERVICES – FULL-TIME
Reporting to the Supervisor, Supports & Services this position provides support in enhancing the quality of life for adults living in a community home. The day to day lifestyle and activities will be directed by the person and their personal outcome measures and goals. This includes support as required to each person’s natural support network. Provide leadership in the community on behalf of people to ensure access to leisure, recreation and social opportunities. Take a leadership role and work effectively as a team member; promote the Mission and Vision statements of CLPE. The successful incumbent will be a graduate of CYW, DSW , SSW, BST Program or other Human Services degree/diploma, have a current CPR & First Aid and CPI Certificates, have a valid Full G Driver’s Licence & access to a reliable vehicle, and present a clear CPIC and VPS.
The incumbent will be responsible for taking a leadership role with the day to day responsibilities of the home. The incumbent will take a leadership role with team members in the promotion of person directed planning, overall health and wellness, building community connections, financial management, cooking, and home maintenance, grocery shopping, creating greater independence, etc. They will also take the lead role in assigning tasks to team members in order to maintain a high-quality standard of services provided in the community homes.
