A local employer is looking for a  Delivery Driver for the Bay of Quinte and Kingston area.


The Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering kegs, cases and skids to licensed establishments, LCBO’s, Beer Store depots and other distribution outlets across Southern Ontario – generally in Kingston and Quinte regions. The driver is accountable for all paperwork, load safety, vehicle maintenance and scheduling as needed to maintain deadlines and make appointments. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent vehicle operation skills, route planning skills, as well as punctuality and reliability.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Driver must demonstrate proper daily routines including: pre/post-trip inspections, load securement, daily logbook entry, vehicle cleanliness, truck-servicing update
  • Timely and safe delivery of orders
  • Friendly and professional interaction with customers and logistic partners
  • Secure payment from customers for delivery
  • Keep accurate records of daily deliveries/transactions
  • Record and return empty, damaged or unsatisfactory kegs/bottles/cases to the warehouse and report as required
  • Move and lift heavy objects with the assistance of a dolly and/or pump truck
  • Become forklift certified


Qualifications and Skills

  • Highschool diploma
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract. Ability to maintain a valid license is a requirement of continued employment
  • Ability to lift kegs ranging in weight from 120 – 150 lbs. on a regular basis with and without assisted lifting devices
  • Ability to work shift work (evenings and some weekends)
  • Ability to safely operate various types of vehicles including pick-up trucks, straight trucks and passenger vehicles
  • Experience loading/unloading full pallets (dock-to-dock and with a tailgate)
  • Great knowledge of Southern Ontario and surrounding areas
