The Opportunity

Responsible for daily sanitation including but not limited to office space, hallways, washrooms, etc., reporting to the Sanitation Lead. This positions requires attention to detail and will complete logs to ensure required completeness of tasks.

Key Responsibilities

· Daily cleaning included but not limited to floors, lunch rooms, washrooms, hallways, etc. and equipment

· Monitoring of waste bins and removal of waste (non-cannabis) from occupied areas

· Assist with sanitation of production supplies and equipment if needed

· Ensuring inventory of sanitation supplies is kept and products are replenished in a timely manner

· Maintaining detailed and accurate sanitation logs

· Propose new ideas and or technology in relation to sanitation

· Writing, reviewing, and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality policies/procedures to ensure continuous compliance with the Cannabis Act and GPP/GMP

· Complete all training required for Sanitation Associate

· Any other responsibilities defined in the SOP’s listed in the associated curriculm for Sanitation Associate

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

Academic/Educational Requirements

· University/College Degree/Diploma OR Equivalent Professional Experience

Required Skills/Experience/Knowledge

· 1-3+ years’ experience in the Legal Cannabis, Agriculture, Food, or Pharmaceutical Industry is considered an asset

· Knowledge, training, and significant experience in Good Production Practices (GPP) and/or Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is considered an asset

· Previous experience in a sanitation role considered an asset

· Capable of multi-tasking with minimal supervision

· Strong computer skills; Proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially Excel

· Previous experience working in a regulated production environment is considered an asset

· Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage time, set priorities, and multi-task

· Excellent attention to detail

· Excellent critical thinking and assessment skills

· Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)

· Must be 19+ with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance if requested, as per Health Canada's Cannabis Act

· Previous Health Canada Security Clearance and work experience with a Canadian Licensed Producer (LP) is considered as an asset

Contract length: 2 months
